Sell for one fee of UGX 500,000 — not a percentage of your home

Built for how Uganda actually buys and sells land.

Yellow Bricks Uganda launched in 2026 with one simple objection: paying a percentage of your home to sell it makes no sense.

A typical agent commission of 3% costs UGX 15,000,000 on a UGX 500,000,000 property. The work involved — the photographs, the viewings, the phone calls, the paperwork — does not triple because the house is worth three times more. So we charge a fixed fee and publish it.

The second objection was trust. Buyers in Uganda are routinely asked to commit to a plot with no confirmed boundary, an unseen title, and a seller whose claim to the land nobody has verified. That is why every listing on Yellow Bricks starts with a pin, a boundary drawn on satellite imagery and a measured area, and why ownership documents are reviewed privately before a listing goes live.

The third was finance. For many Ugandan families an interest-bearing mortgage is not an acceptable option, and the Shariah-compliant alternatives are poorly explained and hard to find. We treat Islamic home finance as the default path, not a footnote.

We are new. We do not have thousands of completed sales or a review score to show you, and we will not borrow one. What we can tell you is exactly what our fee is, exactly what is included, and exactly what we have checked on every listing you see.

What we promise

  • We publish our fee. It does not change with your asking price.
  • We never mark a listing as title-checked unless a person on our team has read the documents.
  • We never name a finance partner before an agreement is signed.
  • Your ownership documents are private. Buyers see what you have, not the files themselves.
  • If a figure on this site is an estimate or a sample, we say so on the same page.
